Since 2 is Earth, the cure is Metal or Water. If you look at our cheat sheet, it shows the 6 old-style coins, and for a Water cure it shows "still water OR round aquarium with 6 black fish OR salt in jar of water with 6 coins"
My thinking would be that the fountain helps to activate and strengthen a good water star, which in this case you don't have. So I would say no it is not a good idea.
